She is the second woman to receive this award and it has been granted to her for her success in internationalising her company and for her commitment to Asturias and the region's products.
The event took place in the Valdesoto Palace in Siero, and was supported by the Councillor for Rural Development, Agriculture and Fisheries, Alejandro Calvo; the Mayor of Villaviciosa, Alejandro Vega; the President of FADE, Belarmino Feito and the President of Asturmanager, Montserrat Martínez, among others.
Bodegas Mayador has achieved a presence in 75 countries around the world, without giving up its roots in Villaviciosa. During the ceremony, Consuelo Busto remembered how her father faced the natural cider crisis in the sixties, betting on the sparkling cider that opened the foreign market to him. He also indicated his intention to continue growing and gave as an example the penetration of Mayador in the Middle East after adapting the cider and obtaining the Halal seal.
